Huntington Beach Woman Admits to $2.8M Ramen Company Embezzlement
A Huntington Beach woman, 50-year-old Tae Miyaji Jones, has pleaded guilty to embezzling over $2.8 million from her employer, an instant ramen company in Garden Grove, between 2017 and 2023. As part of her plea deal, she will have to repay the stolen money.
Jones, who worked as an Account Manager at the company, concealed her fraudulent activity by falsifying records. She was charged with 10 counts of embezzlement, seven counts of mail fraud, and three counts of wire fraud. The stolen funds were used to purchase luxury items such as jewelry and designer handbags, as well as properties in Madison, Alabama, and Waikoloa, Hawaii.
Her sentencing is scheduled for April 6, 2026.
