Ho Chi Minh City's International Financial Centre launches with Saigon Marina IFC Tower as its inaugural structure
In the heart of Vietnam's bustling metropolis, Ho Chi Minh City, a long-term strategic vision is unfolding. The International Financial Centre (IFC) is being developed with the aim of making the city a hub for capital flows and regional financial activities.
The Saigon Marina IFC, a key component of this vision, is taking shape in the Thu Thiem New Urban Area, along the Saigon River. The IFC is set to become a hub for multinational corporations, financial institutions, Grade A+ offices, international convention centres, consulates, and premium facilities.
The Saigon Marina IFC Tower, one of the three tallest towers in Vietnam, boasts a total floor area of over 106,000 square metres. Of this, 87,000 sq.m have been allocated for Grade A office space, providing ample room for businesses to thrive.
The decision to build the Ho Chi Minh City International Financial Centre was made by the central and local leadership as part of a strategic plan to promote growth sectors such as international finance and support private sector development. The formation of the IFC is supported by Resolution 222/2025/QH15 of the National Assembly.
The IFC will host international commodity and derivatives exchanges and develop supply chain, logistics, and seaport services, further enhancing the city's economic prowess. It will also provide financial and banking services, implement fintech sandboxes, and foster innovation, making it a beacon for the financial industry.
The Saigon Marina IFC is strategically located, with direct access to Ba Son Station on Metro Line 1, ensuring seamless connectivity within the city. The B2 basement of the IFC is designed to link seamlessly with Ba Son underground station, further enhancing its accessibility.
The Saigon Marina IFC Tower is designed to LEED Gold standards, with energy-saving and eco-friendly solutions, including 30% of its area dedicated to green spaces. The tower features a full-facade LED system for dynamic artistic light shows and a modern musical fountain square, adding to its appeal.
The Saigon Marina IFC project is one of 80 key works inaugurated or commenced in celebration of Vietnam's National Day's 80th anniversary. With the support of Keppel Group (Singapore) for its development and operation, the Saigon Marina IFC is poised to become a significant part of the development of a vibrant financial-commercial ecosystem in the heart of the city. The IFC is intended to be the starting point for building Ho Chi Minh City's International Financial Centre, a testament to the city's ambition to become a regional financial powerhouse.
