Sunil J. Singhi, a seasoned professional with a rich background in policy-making, business, and community empowerment, has been appointed as an Independent Director on the board of the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC).
Prior to this appointment, Singhi held the position of Vice President (Technical Services) at Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited. His extensive experience in various sectors extends further, as he previously served as the Vice Chairman of the Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation and the Chairman of the Gujarat Labour Welfare Board.
One of Singhi's most notable achievements during his tenure at the Gujarat Labour Welfare Board was enabling welfare access to over 50,000 businesses. This commitment to empowering businesses continues, as he currently serves as the Chairman of the National Traders' Welfare Board.
Throughout his career, Singhi has been a vocal advocate for the rights and welfare of small retailers, distributors, and unorganised workers. He has implemented numerous educational, livelihood, skill development, and welfare schemes to transform the lives of workers and traders, particularly in underserved regions.
