German-Russian Dieter S. Arrested for Espionage and Sabotage Plot
Dieter S., a German-Russian national, was presented to the investigating judge of the Federal Court of Justice on April 17, 2024, leading to his arrest. An arrest warrant was issued, suspecting him of espionage and conspiring to cause explosions and arson. His accomplice, Alexander J., was also arrested and will face the judge the following day.

The residences and workplaces of the suspects were searched during the arrests. Authorities found evidence suggesting Dieter S. may have been active as a fighter within the Bund Deutscher Radfahrer e. V. (BDR) in 2014.

The Federal Prosecutor's Office continues to investigate their activities, with Alexander J. set to appear before the investigating judge on April 18, 2024.
