Changes Ahead for Wiesbaden Bus Routes During Freudenberger Kerb Event
From May 27 to June 3, residents and visitors in Wiesbaden will notice changes to several bus routes due to the popular Freudenberger Kerb event. The popular folk festival will transform the Kerbeplatz on Veilchenweg, attracting visitors from Thursday, May 29, to Monday, June 2.
Affected Lines
Lines 18, 23, 27, 45, and N12 of ESWE Verkehr will be impacted during this period. The route modifications are necessary to manage traffic efficiently in the festival area.
** altered Route for Line 27**
On Line 27, buses will run from the Dotzheim Mitte Ludwig-Erhard-Straße stop via Ludwig-Erhard-Straße and Freudenbergstraße directly to the HSK-Haupteingang stop. This temporary route variation will help keep traffic moving smoothly around the event hub. The return trip will follow the same path.
Temporary Bus Stops on Other Lines
For Lines 23, 45, N12: The Eichendorffschule stop will be temporarily moved to Heinrich-Zille-Straße (house number 43) in the direction of Dotzheimer Straße. The Nelkenweg stop will be serviced at Veilchenweg 9 in both directions.
For Line 18: The Kornblumenweg, Bert-Brecht-Straße, and Klabundstraße stops will be skipped in the direction of Schierstein. The route will instead proceed through Schönaustraße, Hermann-Löns-Straße, and Heinrich-Zille-Straße before returning to the regular route. In the opposite direction, Line 18 will run from Bert-Brecht-Straße via Kornblumenweg to the temporary Nelkenweg stop, then continue through Nelkenweg, Asternweg, and Schönaustraße to the regular route.
Event Ticket Offered
ESWE Verkehr is offering an event ticket for visitors to travel stress-free throughout the 6500 tariff zone on the event day, including Mainz, Wiesbaden, and surrounding areas.
