Frankenthaler Street's Traffic Calming Measure Fails; City Seeks Alternatives

A traffic calming measure implemented in Frankenthaler Street, between houses 95 and 99, has failed to meet its intended goals. The lane narrowing, introduced in early September, aimed to slow down traffic and enhance safety in the area.

The city administration has acknowledged the ineffectiveness of the lane narrowing and is now exploring alternative solutions. They will engage in discussions with the local council to brainstorm further measures to control traffic in the problematic stretch.

Unfortunately, no specific details about the proposed measures have been made public yet. The city administration and local council are currently in the early stages of their deliberations, and no concrete plans have been finalised.

The traffic trial on Frankenthaler Street has not yielded the desired results, prompting the city administration to engage with the local council to find more effective traffic control measures. Further updates are expected following their discussions.
