Fire-X and Fire Protection Products, two sister companies based in Maryland, have been purchased by Pye-Barker.

In a significant move to strengthen its presence in the Mid-Atlantic region, Pye-Barker Fire & Safety has announced the acquisition of Fire-X Sales and Service Corp. and its sister company, Fire Protection Products (FPP). Based in Maryland, Fire-X and FPP have been offering complete fire protection services since 1987, covering Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Washington D.C., and beyond.

Carroll Wollard, President of Fire-X and FPP, expressed his enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating that it presents an opportunity to strengthen community impact. The acquisition will allow Fire-X and FPP's skilled technicians to continue serving customers in Maryland and its surrounding states, while also expanding Pye-Barker's full fire code compliance services in the region.

Fire-X and FPP specialise in the design, installation, testing, and service of specialized vehicle fire suppression systems. These systems are tailored for a variety of large mobile and mining equipment, including dozers, loaders, trucks, cranes, and locomotives. In addition, they create systems for highly specialized environments such as data centers, clean rooms, and telecommunications centers.

The Fire-X and FPP teams also excel in restaurant and kitchen fire suppression systems, special hazards fire suppression systems, fire extinguisher service, and emergency lighting, signs, and safety equipment.

Bart Proctor, CEO of Pye-Barker, emphasised that the acquisition is a step towards providing full fire code compliance in every state across the nation. He stated that Fire-X and FPP's regional leadership and specialized capabilities in fire suppression technology for mobile equipment and other complex environments will play a critical role in strengthening Pye-Barker's integrated life safety efforts in the region.

Pye-Barker's commitment to safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction aligns with the values of Fire-X and FPP. Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, LLP, represented Pye-Barker in the transaction.

In other news, DMP has introduced JamAlert, a detection device designed to combat the growing threat of illegal cellular signal jammers. This device is expected to provide an additional layer of security for businesses and individuals alike.

The acquisition of Fire-X Sales and Service Corp. and Fire Protection Products (FPP) by Pye-Barker Fire & Safety will not only strengthen Pye-Barker's presence in the Mid-Atlantic region but also expand its full fire code compliance services in the area. In this business deal, Pye-Barker will leverage Fire-X and FPP's regional leadership and specialized capabilities in fire suppression technology for mobile equipment and other complex environments to further its integrated life safety efforts.

This strategic move in the industry will also bolster the finance aspects for Pye-Barker, as the acquisition presents an opportunity to enhance community impact and cover more states across the nation to achieve full fire code compliance.
