Finnish Kuva Space Raises $17.8M for Hyperspectral Cameras, AI Platform
Kuva Space, a Finnish satellite company, has raised EUR 16.6 million (USD 17.8 million) in a funding round led by Liftt and Wavemaker Partners. The round also saw participation from SEEDS Capital, CerraCap Ventures, SUTD Ventures, and Elev8. Kuva Space plans to use the funds to develop its patented hyperspectral camera technology and launch an AI analytics platform, initially targeting the US market.
Meanwhile, Entropica Labs, a Singapore-based quantum software company, has secured USD 4.7 million in a Series A funding round. The company aims to expand its team, focusing on quantum error correction, software engineering, and computing architectures. Entropica Labs also plans to test its products on real quantum hardware. Prior to the current investors, the company was supported by SGInnovate.
In other news, FPT Corporation, a Vietnam-based IT services company, has acquired Cardinal Peak, a US-based product development company. FPT aims to double its revenue from product engineering services in the Americas within the next two years by leveraging Cardinal Peak's capabilities and customer base. Additionally, ObvioHealth, a digital health organization based in the US and Singapore, has raised USD 15 million in a recent funding round.
