The Schneverdingen Cultural Association is preparing for the grand opening of its new home on May 3rd, but the organisation is currently facing a significant funding gap of approximately 487,200 euros. To bridge this gap, the association is considering taking a loan of 450,000 to 500,000 euros.

Discussions with local banks regarding the loan are ongoing and nearing completion. However, the exact identity of the banks involved or the one that has signed the contract remains undisclosed at this time. The high interest on the loan would severely restrict the Schneverdingen Cultural Association in the long term, and as such, the association is actively seeking donations to keep the amount they need to borrow as low as possible.

The Schneverdingen Cultural Association has been transparent about its financial situation, regularly updating its members and the public through its newsletter. The newsletter, which is sent via email and available for free, provides a weekly review of local news and carefully selected articles. It is designed to be clear and not information overloaded, making it accessible to all residents.

In a recent appeal for donations via its social channels, the association revealed that it has already received 15,000 euros in donations in March. The association has also been proactive in addressing the lack of awareness among residents about its financial situation. It was recently discovered that the residents were not previously aware that the association lacked funds for construction.

Despite the financial challenges, progress on the new home is well underway. The building has shed its facades, and the interior rooms have been painted, with the toilet cubicles receiving a colorful coat of paint. The association is hopeful that with the community's support, they will be able to overcome the funding gap and open the home as planned.

The association has also been working hard to ensure the home will be a vibrant addition to the Schneverdingen community. The operating concept and financing data were presented to the VA at the end of March, and the association is confident that the home will be a valuable resource for the community.

As the opening date approaches, the Schneverdingen Cultural Association is eager to welcome its members and the community to the new home. However, they are also urging everyone to consider making a donation to help them reach their fundraising goal. With the community's support, the association is hopeful that the home will be a success for years to come.
