Updates on the Yekaterinburg-Tyumen Highway Reconstruction:

The scheduled completion of the R-351 highway reconstruction has been extended until November 2026, according to "Uralavtodor."

Originally, the project was slated for completion in 2024. As of now, the Bogdanovich bypass construction is ongoing, with over 72 km of its foundation already laid. The planned infrastructure for the bypass includes six two-level interchanges, eight overpasses, seven bridges, and six overhead pedestrian crossings.

Earlier reports from DK.RU suggested that once the Yekaterinburg-Tyumen highway becomes part of M-12, it will remain toll-free.

In the meantime, other road improvement initiatives are underway in the region. For instance, the major repair of the R-242 road from Achi to Yekaterinburg is expected to be completed in 2025, while over 17 km of roads are scheduled for repair in Tyumen in 2025, with the work being carried out in two phases[5]. A paving project for nearly 5 km of a dirt road leading to the village of Borisova in Sverdlovsk Oblast is currently underway[5].
