📣 offenbach's motoring scene is on the rise! By the year's end, 2024, a whopping 276,315 vehicles were registered in the Offenbach district! That's about 2,000 more than the previous year, extending the upward trend that's been going strong for years. The district is now home to around 23,000 more vehicles than it was back in 2014. Yup, 2021 was a big year with around 280,000 registrations 🚗🏎️🚙!

Tractors and Electrics Gaining Traction

The overall growth might be moderate (0.7%), but certain vehicle groups are really stepping up their game! The number of agricultural tractors jumped a whopping 22% to 2,351 units 🚜! And the electric vehicle market? It's buzzing too! By 2024, there were an impressive 6,206 purely electric vehicles on Offenbach's roads - that's a 7.4% increase over 2023.

But here's the kicker – the number of electric vehicles is like a wild rollercoaster, often influenced by subsidy programs and political conditions says the district admin.

Digital Services on the Rise 💻

Alongside the growing vehicle fleet, the number of folks heading to the registration office to settle their motoring business is decreasing. In 2024, there were only 133,000 transactions at the counter - around 4,000 fewer than the previous year. Langen and Mühlheim saw declines of 4% and 13% respectively, while Seligenstadt bucked the trend with a small increase.

Why the drop-off at the counter? Well, more and more citizens are tapping into the digital services offered by the road traffic authority 🎉! Over 6,200 digital services were handled online in 2023, with a whopping 96% being deregistrations.

Deregistrations Rule the Roost 👋

Deregistrations took the cake when it comes to counter procedures, accounting for a massive 43,000 of the total. Need a vehicle re-registered? Around 38,000 requests were made and for new registrations? A measly 14,000
