Expanded Presence in Home State for Pye-Barker through Acquisition of Southeastern System Services
Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, a leading provider of fire protection, life safety, and security services, has announced its acquisition of Southeastern System Services, a Georgia-based fire safety company. The acquisition aims to enhance Pye-Barker's offerings in the Southeastern U.S.
Southeastern System Services, a family-run company built from the ground up by Darin Neslein's parents, specializes in fire protection and security services. Their offerings include fire retardants, alarms, and various suppression systems, such as water mist, high-expansion foam, dry chemical, carbon dioxide systems, and eco-friendly fire suppression systems made with clean agents.
The acquisition by Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is expected to support the continued growth of Southeastern System Services. Bart Proctor, CEO of Pye-Barker, considers Southeastern System Services a perfect fit for their organization due to shared values. Darin Neslein, owner of Southeastern System Services, agrees, stating that joining Pye-Barker is a strategic step for their family-run company.
With this acquisition, Pye-Barker's fire protection services have been significantly expanded. They now cover multiple Southeastern states, including Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia. The skilled technicians from Southeastern System Services will continue to serve customers in the Southeast alongside Pye-Barker's teams.
In addition to fire protection services, Pye-Barker offers broader services including design, installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire alarms and specialized fire suppression systems for various environments. These include vehicle fire suppression, commercial kitchens, data centers, and clean rooms, thanks to their other acquisitions like Fire-X and Fire Protection Products.
Meanwhile, in the realm of security and surveillance, Pye-Barker now offers installation, repair, and maintenance of state-of-the-art security and surveillance equipment. This includes access control systems, intrusion detection systems, remote video transmission, and CCTV systems.
Recently, DMP, another company in the industry, introduced JamAlert, a device designed to combat the growing threat of illegal cell jammers. This device adds another layer of security to Pye-Barker's offerings, demonstrating their commitment to staying ahead in the ever-evolving security landscape.
The transaction was represented by Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, LLP. The acquisition by Pye-Barker Fire & Safety supports Pye-Barker's fire protection services and enhances customer offerings throughout the Southeast.
The acquisition by Pye-Barker Fire & Safety broadens their reach in the finance sector, as they are now investing in the growth of Southeastern System Services. With this merger, Pye-Barker's offerings in the industry extend beyond fire protection and life safety, now including a broader portfolio of business services, such as security and surveillance.
