Expanded lineup of engines for top-selling model unveiled
Dacia Enhances Engine Lineup for Duster Model
Romanian automaker Dacia is making significant strides in enhancing the engine lineup for its popular Duster model. From November 2025, customers will have access to a range of new powertrains, including hybrid and bi-fuel options.
One of the most notable additions is the Hybrid 155, which replaces the Hybrid 140. This four-cylinder engine is rated at 155 horsepower and 205 Nm of torque. The new powertrain combines a 109-horsepower four-cylinder gasoline engine with two electric machines, a 50-horsepower electric motor, a starter-generator, and a 1.4 kWh battery. A Multimode automatic transmission is used, combining four gears for the internal combustion engine and two for the electric motor.
The Hybrid-G 150 4x4 variant, another significant addition, combines mild-hybrid technology, LPG Bi-Fuel, and all-wheel-drive. This hybrid bi-fuel 4x4 system, developed by Dacia, is also available for the Bigster model. The system power for this variant is 154 horsepower.
The Mild Hybrid 140, replacing the Mild Hybrid 130, also sees an increase in power, now rated at 140 horsepower. Dacia pairs a 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbo gasoline engine with a 48-volt system, a 0.8 kWh battery, and a manual six-speed transmission for this new powertrain.
The LPG engine in the Duster also gains 20 horsepower. With both 50-liter tanks used in the Bi-Fuel engine, the total range for the Duster can reach up to 1,380 kilometers.
While pricing for the new engines in the Duster has not yet been announced, it's clear that Dacia is committed to offering a diverse and efficient engine lineup for its Duster model. The Eco-G 120 replaces the Eco-G 100 in the Duster, signifying a continuous effort to improve fuel efficiency and performance.
These updates are part of Dacia's ongoing commitment to innovation and sustainability, reflecting the brand's dedication to meeting the evolving needs of its customers.
