Entrepreneur Fined for Wage Offences in Woltersdorf Case

An entrepreneur from Woltersdorf has been handed a significant fine by the Regional Court of Frankfurt (Oder) for wage-related offences. The entrepreneur, whose name has not been disclosed, was found guilty of withholding and misappropriating wages, as well as failing to pay social security contributions.

The entrepreneur employed three workers on a minor scale at a construction site in Berlin. Despite their minor status, these workers were made to work far more hours than permitted. This exploitation was discovered during an investigation by the Frankfurt Main Customs Office's financial control department.

The entrepreneur also failed to report or incorrectly reported four other workers to the social security office. This deliberate underreporting allowed the entrepreneur to avoid paying the required contributions, amounting to over 4,900 EUR. The court fined the entrepreneur 75 daily rates of 15 EUR each, totalling 1,125 EUR, for these offences.

The entrepreneur's actions have resulted in a substantial fine and a clear message from the court that such behaviour will not be tolerated. The identity of the entrepreneur remains unknown, but the case serves as a reminder for all employers to adhere to labour laws and treat their employees fairly.
