Energy company PBF Energy has named Joseph Marino as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

PBF Energy, a leading independent petroleum refiner and supplier, has announced some significant changes and developments. The company, listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol PBF, has announced the promotion of Joseph Marino to the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective October 1, 2025.

Joseph Marino, who currently serves as the Treasurer at PBF Energy, will take over from the current CFO, Karen B. Davis. Prior to his time at PBF, Marino worked at Ernst & Young LLP, where he gained valuable experience serving large public and private corporations in various industries, including oil and gas.

Marino has been with PBF Energy since 2011 and has held several finance and accounting roles. He served as the company’s Assistant Controller from 2015 to 2020 before becoming the Treasurer in 2020.

The California State Government holds the future profits of PBF Energy’s Martinez refinery, which is expected to restart by the end of 2025. This restart is part of a broader recovery in progress for the refinery.

The announcement about the Martinez refinery restart and the CFO change was made in a press release. Alongside this news, PBF Energy also revealed that it is implementing a $350M cost savings program.

Karen B. Davis, the current CFO, will retire as an executive of PBF Energy on October 1, 2025, but will rejoin the Board of Directors. Davis previously served on PBF Energy’s Board of Directors from January 1, 2020, through December 31, 2022.

This change in leadership and the refinery restart are positive steps for PBF Energy as it continues to navigate the complex world of energy production and supply. As Marino steps into his new role, he brings a wealth of experience and knowledge that will undoubtedly serve the company well.
