Employee at Rossmann in Lower Saxony allegedly initiates unpacking actions!
What's the real deal with your paycheck?
That's the question on everyone's mind, especially at work. Is the boss pulling in a million bucks while you scrape by? Does that colleague, who does the same job, bring home a bigger paycheck? German TV show "What's Germany Earning?" dives into these very questions, and in their second episode, they took a peek behind the scenes of a Rossmann branch in Lower Saxony.
In this particular branch, they uncovered the truth about the employees' earnings. Even the employees were taken aback by the results.

Contentment in Lower Saxony: "I think I'm squarely in the middle"
In the central warehouse in Burgwedel, about half an hour from Hannover, Chantal, 42, has been a product manager for 18 years. She manages 23 products of their own brand "Isana" and banks 5,380 euros gross monthly. "I think I'm squarely in the middle and I'm extremely satisfied with my salary," she says.
Alarm at Hanover Airport: An emergency landing is necessary
In the picking area - where goods are assembled and prepared for transport - the spotlight fell. Anja, 47, has been working as a picker for nine months and earns 3,300 euros gross. Her colleague Cordula, however, has been with the company for ten years and earns the exact same wage.
Does the pay difference cause friction?
During their conversation, the two colleagues reveal their salaries to each other for the first time. Cordula takes it in stride: "I'm satisfied, but if my employer came and said 'I'm raising your salary', I wouldn't say no," she says with a smile. Anja is also generally content. She admits, "It's fair, sometimes I think it could be a bit more because it's also physically demanding work."
One thing becomes clear when delving into the behind-the-scenes in Lower Saxony: Contentment doesn't hinge solely on salary, but also on team dynamics and the employer. You can catch the whole episode of the RTL show >>>HERE<<<.
