Eleven Upcoming Netflix Series Scheduled for 2025 that Warrant a Binge-Watching Session

The upcoming year is bringing back several popular Netflix series, such as the second seasons of XO, Kitty, The Night Agent, The Recruit, and Wednesday, which was the most-watched English TV series on Netflix with 252 million views in its first season. It also spent 20 weeks on the Global Top 10 and reached the Top 10 in 93 countries.

Shows with highly anticipated third seasons include Ginny & Georgia and Squid Game (the final season of the Korean sensation). In the meantime, Squid Game fans can keep busy with ten new foreign series. Stranger Things and You fanatics will also be thrilled with the fifth and final seasons of those shows.

Fan favorite Cobra Kai returns with the third and final part of its sixth season. Big Mouth, the critically acclaimed and Emmy-winning adult animated comedy about the struggle with puberty, will also premiere its eighth and final season in 2025.

Among the new titles set to premiere on Netflix in the coming year, there are several noteworthy series. Here are eleven shows to keep an eye on. Their release dates have not been confirmed as of yet.

America's Dark Past

Three individuals, Preston Mota, Taylor Kitsch, and Betty Gilpin, feature in the Netflix series titled 'American Primeval'.

Director Pete Berg, Taylor Kitsch, and producer Eric Newman collaborated once again after their Netflix hit Painkiller for this challenging project. Filming took place in extremely harsh New Mexico mountain conditions for 13 months for this six-episode limited series, which premieres on January 9. Berg described the shooting experience as being in a "feral state" while telling this story about a violent 1857 America, where the Indigenous, the Mormons, and the pioneers fought and died to keep and control their land. Betty Gilpin stars opposite Kitsch.

Zero Day

This thrilling and terrifying new series features a beloved and highly respected former President leading an investigation into a nationwide cyber attack while battling his demons. This six-episode limited series, from Eric Newman, explores how we find the truth in a world in crisis. In an era filled with conspiracy theories and subterfuge, how much of it is our own creation, perhaps our imagination? This series, starring Robert De Niro, Angela Bassett, Lizzy Caplan, Jesse Plemons, Joan Allen, Connie Britton, Dan Stevens, and Matthew Modine, premieres on February 20.

The White House's Enigma

This mystery revolves around 132 rooms, 157 suspects, one dead body, one chaotic detective, and one disaster-prone State Dinner. This absurd whodunnit takes place in the upstairs, downstairs, and backstairs of the White House, among the eccentric staff of the world's most famous mansion. Find out who committed the crime when this series, produced by Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers, premieres on March 20. The cast includes Uzo Aduba, Giancarlo Esposito, Ken Marino, and Randall Park.

Breaking Point

Kate Hudson stars as Isla Gordon, a woman whose life is turned upside down when a scandal causes her brother to resign from his position as president of the Los Angeles Waves, one of the most renowned professional basketball teams, and she is appointed to replace him. Ambitious and often overlooked, Isla must prove herself to her skeptical brothers, the board, and the larger sports community that she is the right choice for the job. This underdog comedy comes from Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz, and David Stassen. The ten-episode series will premiere in early 2025 and stars Brenda Song, Drew Tarver, Scott MacArthur, Fabrizio Guido, Toby Sandeman, Chet Hanks, Jay Ellis, and Max Greenfield.

In the Wrong Hands

This drama series unravels the extraordinary and unbelievable true story of James Garfield, the reluctant 20th president of the United States, and his devoted admirer, Charles Guiteau, the man who would ultimately assassinate him. This series, starring Betty Gilpin, Matthew Macfadyen, Nick Offerman, Michael Shannon, Bradley Whitford, and Shea Whigham, will premiere in 2025.

The Cider Connection

Set in the early days of Instagram, this story follows two young women who claim to have cured their life-threatening illnesses through health and wellness, influencing their global online following along the way. All of which would be incredibly inspiring if it were all true. This "true-ish" story, based on a lie, explores the rise and fall of a wellness empire, the culture that built it up, and the people who brought it down. Kaitlyn Dever, Alycia Debnam-Carey, and Aisha Dee star in what is certain to be one of the biggest hits for the streaming service in the new year.

Heartbeat Emergency

Netflix's first medical procedural drama series follows the staff of Miami's busiest Level 1 Trauma Center as they navigate medical emergencies while a young ER doctor named Danny Simms is unexpectedly promoted to Chief Resident amidst the aftermath of her scandalous romantic relationship. This series, created by Zoe Robyn and Carlton Cuse, premieres as a ten-episode drama.

This humorous drama originates from Molly Smith Metzler (Maid) and showcases Julianne Moore, Meghann Fahy, and Kevin Bacon. The narrative revolves around Devon (Fahy), who believes her sister Simone (Alcock) has an unsettling bond with their employer, the enigmatic high-society figure Michaela Kell (Moore). Simone appears to be hooked on Michaela's luxurious, cult-like lifestyle, which Devon believes warrants an intervention. Jason Bateman and Jude Law lead this new series. It centers around the owner of a popular New York City nightspot who decides to forgive his volatile brother, unknowingly ushering in a series of escalating threats that could bring about his downfall.

The Four Seasons

This eagerly awaited comedy hails from Tina Fey. It features Fey alongside Steve Carell, Colman Domingo, and Will Forte in the story of three suburban couples who vacation together every season. However, tensions flare up when one couple separates, and the husband brings a much younger woman on subsequent trips. Netflix has yet to announce a release date for this comedy but is sure to provide plenty of laughter.

Too Much

This romantic comedy stems from Lena Dunham (Girls) and stars Megan Stalter, Will Sharpe, Michael Zegan, Rita Wilson, Andrew Scott, Andrew Rannells, Aylin Scott, and Emily Ratajkowski. The plot follows Jessica, a workaholic who moves to London following a breakup. Her plans for solitude crumble when she meets Felix, and she starts to reconsider the possibility of love again.
