East District multi-story parking project receives funds from Municipal Committee decision
In a recent get-together, the Municipal Council's Capital Governorate Committee gave the green light to a generous real estate donation aimed at constructing a multi-level parking facility in sector 7 of Kuwait City's bustling East District.
The benevolent gesture doesn't stop there, as the recipient company is also required to revamp and embellish adjoining public squares.
Headed by the esteemed Dr. Hassan Kamal, the committee also nodded in agreement to the Ministry of Justice's appeal to renew the land allocation for the Family Court project located in Granada, Block 3, under the Capital Governorate's jurisdiction. Al-Rai Arabic daily reported this news.
Additionally, the committee agreed to revise the parking boundaries to steer clear of any clashes with the Rohad Al-Jahra roadway.
The very same session saw the approval of the Ministry of Interior's request to reassign a portion of site G1 to the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy. This move paves the way for the construction of a substantial main transformer station.
On a separate note, the committee decided to keep the proposition by Engineer Abdul Latif Al-Daai concerning the temporary allocation of a pedestrian overpass in Block 7 of Kaifan on their agenda. Several relevant authorities, such as the Ministry of Public Works, the Ministry of Interior, the Municipality's Organization Department, and the Capital Governorate branch of the Municipality, have been invited for a more in-depth discussion.
