The government of Kazakhstan is set to introduce a digital solution aimed at simplifying and automating the process of registering domestic goods producers. The Unified Register of Domestic Goods Producers, scheduled to begin operation in 2026, is designed to be a comprehensive database for honest businesses, ensuring quality control and identification of "dishonest" producers digitally.

Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov has emphasized that everything will be done digitally in this new register. Honest Kazakh producers will be automatically included, eliminating the need for bureaucratic procedures, expert invitations, additional checks, or multiple forms to be filled out.

The Unified Register of Domestic Goods Producers will serve as the sole determinant of real domestic producers. It operates without human intervention for quality control and identification of "dishonest" producers, relying on continuous monitoring enabled by digital tracking and automated verification processes.

The register integrates information systems of state bodies, facilitating data exchange between digital platforms. This ensures that eligible domestic producers are systematically and promptly registered, reducing delays and improving the completeness of the register.

The state and quasi-state sectors will prioritize their products based on the Unified Register of Domestic Goods Producers, reflecting Kazakhstan’s broader push to modernize customs and trade infrastructure through digital innovation.

The creation and operation of the Unified Register of Domestic Goods Producers are part of the government's digital solutions strategy. The register aligns with broader state digitalization and modernization policies aimed at increasing efficiency, transparency, and accuracy in domestic goods producer registration.

"Fake producers" will not be able to get into the Unified Register of Domestic Goods Producers. Starting January 1, 2026, honest businesses will be automatically included, and from January 1 of the following year, the Unified Register of Domestic Goods Producers will be the sole mechanism for determining real domestic producers. New applicants will be added through a simple application and automatic digital verification.

The Prime Minister has emphasized the operation of the Unified Register of Domestic Goods Producers, marking a significant step towards digitalizing Kazakhstan's economy and improving the business environment.
