- Donny Lau, Dollar General's Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Strategy Officer, has bid adieu to the company.

Lau's exit has been part of a stormy sea of leadership reshuffles and executive changes at Dollar General in the recent past. Before landing the chief strategy officer gig, Lau held the position of the retailer's Vice President of Investor Relations and Corporate Strategy.

Fancy titles continued to be dished out in June, with the promotion of Chad Fox to the rank of Chief Marketing Officer and the recruitment of Smriti Maheshwari, a Lowe's veteran, as Vice President of Inventory and Demand Management at Zaxby's.
At Zaxby's, Lau will be juggling financial strategy, planning, and analytics, as well as taking care of accounting and treasury duties. Before putting on the Zaxby's apron, Lau honed his leadership skills at Yum! Brands.
