Diversified Energy to Move Primary Listing to New York

Diversified Energy is set to shift its primary stock market listing from London to New York. The move, which requires shareholder approval, aims to boost liquid news and align more closely with the company's US-focused operations. Over 65% of Diversified Energy's shares are currently held by US investors. The relocation aims to offer benefits such as greater trading liquidity, improved visibility with American investors, and access to a broader pool of capital. The company will retain a secondary UK listing to support UK and non-US shareholders. Shareholders will vote on the change in the coming weeks, with the transition expected by the end of 2025. The decision follows similar moves by companies like Wise, Ashtead Group, and Flutter Entertainment. Diversified Energy's shares are currently trading at 1,031p with a market cap of £796.66 million. The new listing in New York is expected to enhance the company's trading environment and better serve its majority US shareholder base.
