DHL Group Finds Potential Development Crucial

In a recent development, the Cologne Regional Court has issued a cease-and-desist declaration to the German Post, ordering them to change their advertising practices regarding registered mail. The German Post has been accused of misleading consumers by advertising registered mail as a secure way to send money or valuables without clearly stating the existing liability limit.

The conflict stems from a case where a consumer sent identification documents by registered mail, which were lost, resulting in approximately 300 euros in follow-up costs. The Consumer Protection Center in Lower Saxony reported the case to the Cologne Regional Court. The court has ruled that the German Post must now clearly and unambiguously state that the liability for ordinary registered mail is limited to 25 euros.

It is important to note that the German Post's advertising practices do not affect the DHL Group, a logistics company based in Bonn. The DHL Group (WKN: 555200) is a separate entity and is not involved in this matter.

Meanwhile, the publication does not discuss the liability limit for registered mail or the cease-and-desist declaration issued to the German Post. However, it does provide financial advice for DHL Group shares. It is advised that those who are already invested in the DHL Group should keep the stop-loss at 30.50 euros. There is no urgent need to buy DHL Group shares due to the rather lackluster chart.

Interestingly, Mr. Bernd Förtsch, the board and majority shareholder of the publisher Börsenmedien AG, holds direct and indirect positions in the financial instruments of the DHL Group or related derivatives. This conflict of interest notice is applicable to the publication regarding the DHL Group shares.

In other news, Nikola Hagleitner, CEO of the post and parcel business in Germany within the DHL Group, has demanded a postage increase for standard letters and postcards within Germany. Hagleitner believes that the postage increase at the beginning of the year was too low and is necessary to finance the modernization of the post.

Hagleitner stated that every cent earned by her division in the group is reinvested in the location Germany. However, the publication does not discuss the postage increase or modernization of the post.

In the future, the post will have to clearly and unambiguously state that the liability for ordinary registered mail is limited to 25 euros. The German Post was only willing to pay 50 euros in goodwill, according to the consumer protection center, and the liability limit was not communicated transparently enough.

This development serves as a reminder for consumers to be vigilant when sending valuable items through the post and for businesses to ensure their advertising practices are transparent and honest.
