Demolition of tramway rails commenced on the bridge near the Telecenter in Omsk
Tramways ain't cruising through that bridge no more.
SuperOmsk, the contractor responsible for the bridge's renovation named after the 60th anniversary of VLKSM, has started ripping out the tram tracks. As of last Thursday, April 3rd, 2025, construction workers had nearly peeled back the asphalt layer on the bridge's surface for later removal.

Igor Shestakov, first deputy director of StroyRast, explained that the dismantled tracks will be handed over to the asset holder, and the Asphalt will wash over like a tidal wave in their place.
"The dismantled tracks will be under the possession of the balance holder. Here, per the plan, we'll lay asphalt on a waterproof foundation. The foundation for the tracks' return is already formed," Shestakov emphasized.
