Delight from the National Baptist Conference held in Warsaw, Poland
From June 5-7, 2025, the 44th National Church Conference unfolded at the Baptist Church Center in Warsaw Radosc._ This event was a reporting and electoral conference, carrying significant weight due to the impending elections for the new Chair of the Church Council in Poland** and the new Church Audit Committee.
The conference kicked off with a worship service, where Honorary Presbyter Konstanty Wiazowski delivered a captivating sermon focused on the boundless grace of God—a testament to the unending beauty and incomprehensible nature of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. After his thought-provoking address, the congregation joined in a hymn celebrating grace, creating an atmosphere of earnest reverence that leaves an enduring impression on attendees of National Church Conferences alike.
Major discussions took place during the formal sessions, revolving around proposed changes to the Fundamental Internal Law and the update of the 1930 Statement of Faith. Despite the heated debates, the proceedings were always orderly, guided by prayer and bonds of brotherly love.
Reports from various Baptist Church ministries within Poland and plans for future projects were shared throughout the gathering. The Audit Committee offered closing remarks and presented a summary of their term. Brother Marek Głodek, then Chair of the Church Council, also delivered a report on his ministry and shared reflections on his four-year term, earning gratitude and admiration for his dedication in handling his responsibilities.
Brother Głodek's new term saw him as a lone candidate, as he received 93% of the votes in his re-election. Solemn blessings and congratulations followed his success, with Presbyter Konstanty Wiazowski leading the proceedings. The conference concluded with a moving worship service, attended by the Głodek family.
