Cross-border desk initiated by audit and consultancy firm Forvis Mazars in joint German-Romanian effort

Forvis Mazars, a leading accounting and consulting firm, has announced the launch of its International German-Romanian Desk. This new initiative aims to provide seamless, cross-border solutions for German and Romanian businesses engaged in international transactions and growth between the two countries.
The Desk is a joint venture involving Forvis Mazars in Germany, Forvis Mazars in Romania, and the Romanian law firm Iablonschi & Associates. This collaboration brings together multidisciplinary expertise to cover all client needs across taxation, corporate governance, transaction support, and legal proceedings.
Edwin Warmerdam, Partner and Head of Tax at Forvis Mazars in Romania, emphasized the Desk's role in simplifying the complexities of cross-border tax compliance. Alexander Labus, Law Partner at Forvis Mazars in Germany, added that the firm has access to over 170 lawyers advising across all areas of German and international commercial and tax law. The Desk offers comprehensive support to German companies operating in or entering the Romanian market, as well as Romanian businesses expanding into Germany. The Desk's launch on June 19, 2023, marks a strategic move to strengthen business ties between the two countries.
