Criminal Probe Launched Over 'Badenn Baden' Construction in Sysert

A criminal investigation has begun in the Sverdlovsk region following concerns raised by local residents about the construction of the 'Badenn Baden' complex on Bessonova Hill in Sysert. The probe, under the article 'Negligence' (293 UK RF), is being conducted by the local district prosecutor's office.

The investigation comes after residents alleged that no public hearings were held regarding the lease of state land for the construction. Despite this, the construction is based on an approved project and earlier conclusions found no violations.

Experts from the Management of State Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites of the Sverdlovsk region have approved various works on the land plots in question. Law enforcement agencies previously confirmed the construction's compliance with Russian Federation legislation. Representatives of 'Badenn Baden' have offered full assistance to the investigative authorities.

The construction of the 'Badenn Baden' complex has sparked controversy among local residents who believe it will harm the environment and block access to Bessonova Hill for all Ural residents. The ongoing criminal investigation aims to determine if any negligence occurred during the construction process.
