Crimea Implements Fuel Rationing Amid Shortages, Russia Extends Export Ban

The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, has announced new measures to tackle fuel shortages on the peninsula. The situation has been tense, with stable supplies expected to resume by October 3. Aksyonov revealed these steps via Telegram on October 1.

In response to the crisis, Aksyonov has implemented a limit on fuel sales. Residents can now purchase no more than 20 liters of fuel per person. This decision aims to ensure fair distribution and prevent hoarding.

Meanwhile, Russia has extended its ban on gasoline exports and limited the export of diesel and gas oil. The next meet to discuss the fuel situation in Crimea is scheduled for Friday. Despite the challenges, public transport, social facilities, and communal and emergency services continue to receive fuel supplies.

The fuel situation in Crimea remains under close scrutiny. The governor of the Krasnodar Territory reports no disruptions in fuel supplies, indicating a regional effort to maintain stability. The upcoming meet will provide further insights into the management of this ongoing issue.
