Consultation on proposed directive addressing worker safety from ionizing radiation risks
In the early hours of Wednesday morning, a signal repair in the Pasing area of Munich has caused significant disruptions to the S-Bahn services, with delays, early turnbacks, and partial cancellations expected.
The S-Bahn München GmbH, a subsidiary of DB Regio AG within the Deutsche Bahn Group, is responsible for operating the S-Bahn trains in Munich. This includes managing delays, route diversions, and cancellations of S-Bahn services.
Commuters on the entire trunk line should expect delays, cancellations, and changed routes. The S20 line is completely canceled, while only S2 and S8 are running regularly on the trunk line. S3 is operating in split mode with trains running only between Mammendorf and Pasing, and Holzkirchen and Ostbahnhof. S4 is running between Geltendorf and Hauptbahnhof (Tracks 27-36), without stops between Pasing and Hauptbahnhof. S1 is running only between Moosach and Freising/Flughafen, and passengers heading to the city center are advised to switch to U3, U2, or bus 162.
Additional bus lines (57, 130, 157) take over connections between Pasing, Laim, and Heimeranplatz. The 10-minute intervals are not maintained on any lines. S1 Freising/Flughafen - Leuchtenbergring is currently running only between Moosach and Freising/Flughafen.
S5 is running restricted between Kreuzstraße and Ostbahnhof, with the Pasing-Weßling section not served. S6 is shuttling between Tutzing and Pasing, and between Ebersberg and Ostbahnhof, with stops at Berg am Laim and Leuchtenbergring not served. S7 is running as usual between Wolfratshausen and Hauptbahnhof (Track 36). S5 Kreuzstraße - Pasing is currently running only between Kreuzstraße and Ostbahnhof. S6 is shuttling between Tutzing and Pasing, and between Ebersberg and Ostbahnhof, with stops at Berg am Laim and Leuchtenbergring not served.
Several tram lines (16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 25) connect Pasing, Laim, Hauptbahnhof, Karlsplatz, Isartor, Ostbahnhof, and Berg am Laim. U5 runs from Ostbahnhof via Karlsplatz to Laim. The MVG is currently warning of delays for its own buses due to heavy traffic caused by the signal disruption in the S-Bahn area, with this alert currently in effect until 10:30 AM.
Deutsche Bahn (DB) has given the all-clear for S-Bahn trains to run on their regular routes, but commuters are advised to check the "MVG" app or the internet for the current operating status before each S-Bahn journey. The cause of the disruption is the repair of a signal in the Pasing area.
We encourage all commuters to plan their journey carefully and allow extra time for travel. Stay updated with the latest information on the MVG app or the internet to ensure a smooth journey.
