Construction work on the A3 highway begins at the Mönchhof Trieck junction
The A3 in Germany is undergoing renovation, with work beginning on March 7th. During the renovation, there will be several changes to traffic flow. From March 14th to 17th and March 21st to 24th, the A3 in the direction of Würzburg will be reduced to one lane before the AS Raunheim. The AS Raunheim and the parallel lane to the A67 towards Darmstadt will not be affected during these weekends.
However, during the final construction weekend, traffic from Raunheim will be diverted via the parallel lane to the A3. Vehicles on the A3 towards Würzburg will be directed onto the parallel lane to the A67 towards Darmstadt at the AS Raunheim and will need to U-turn at the AS Rüsselsheim-Ost.
On the final construction weekend, the diversion at the AS Raunheim will not affect the A67 parallel lane. At the Wiesbaden interchange, traffic will be directed onto the A66 towards Frankfurt during these construction phases.
From March 7th to 10th, the A3 will be fully closed from the Raunheim interchange towards Würzburg. Traffic from Raunheim will be diverted via the A3 towards Cologne, the Wiesbaden interchange, and the A66 to Frankfurt, then the North-West Frankfurt interchange to the A5 towards Darmstadt/Basel, and back to the A3 at the Frankfurt interchange.
The Autobahn GmbH recommends listening to traffic news on the radio and factoring in possible delays in route planning. Longer travel times can be expected due to the closures of the A3.
