Chemnitz Makes Mark at Expo Real with Future Tech, Sustainability Showcase
Chemnitz is set to make a significant mark at Expo Real in Munich, running from October 6th to 8th. The future city, known as a 'laboratory for future ideas', will showcase its commitment to high-tech, sustainability, and creativity. The event 'City.Country.Future. Shaping spaces for tomorrow together' on Monday, October 6 at 2 PM, will see participation from various institutions, including urban development agencies, government bodies, and architectural firms.
Chemnitz will be represented at the joint booth of the Free State of Saxony (Hall A2, Stand 320) with ten partners. The highlight of the city's presence will be the reception of the European Capital of Culture 2025 on Monday at 5:30 pm, which aims to connect technology and culture. Accompanying Chemnitz's fair presence will be a program featuring panel discussions and presentations, with Silvana Bergk, head of the Economy department, participating in a panel discussion on Monday at 2 pm and presenting the city's potential on Tuesday at 3 pm. The theme of Chemnitz's participation, 'Building Tomorrow', will focus on innovative projects and future topics such as microelectronics and hydrogen technologies.
