Channel 4 Launches £600K B Corp Ad Competition

Channel 4 Sales has launched an exclusive competition for UK-based Certified B Corporations (B Corps). The competition aims to boost public awareness of B Corps and challenge misconceptions about sustainable business practices. Five winners will share £600,000 of free advertising airtime on Channel 4's main channel.

Applications are now open, with full eligibility criteria available on Channel 4 Sales' website. To apply, companies must hold certified B Corp status, demonstrating high social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. Each winning company will receive £120,000 in commercial airtime, reaching nearly 32 million adults per month.

Channel 4's initiative supports Action 5 of the Ad Net Zero Action Plan, fostering positive consumer behaviour change through advertising. The broadcaster is partnering with B Lab UK, the non-profit behind the UK B Corp movement, for this effort. Channel 4 aims to extend its focus on climate and environmental issues to off-screen efforts, encouraging the advertising industry to support sustainable practices. The competition's goal is to increase public awareness of B Corps and challenge misconceptions about sustainable business practices.

The competition offers a significant opportunity for UK-based B Corps to raise their profile and promote their sustainable business practices. With Channel 4's commitment to reducing emissions and supporting sustainable initiatives, this competition aligns with its broader environmental goals. Applications are open now, with full eligibility criteria available on Channel 4 Sales' website.
