Carlo Santarelli Joins Gaming and Leisure Properties as Senior Vice President

Carlo Santarelli, a seasoned Wall Street veteran with over 25 years of experience in equity research and investment banking, particularly in the gaming and lodging sectors, has joined Gaming and Leisure Properties, Inc. (GLPI) as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Investor Relations.

Santarelli, who will start working at GLPI on August 18, brings a wealth of knowledge and connections to the table. He has held prominent positions at Bear Stearns, J.P. Morgan, and Wells Fargo before his most recent role as Managing Director of Gaming & Lodging Equity Research at Deutsche Bank. His data-driven analysis and industry insights have earned him consistent high rankings in Institutional Investor polls.

In his new role at GLPI, Santarelli will report to the President and Chief Operating Officer, Brandon Moore. He will be responsible for helping develop and evaluate growth opportunities and strategic relationships, as well as overseeing investor relations. His extensive industry knowledge and network of contacts among institutional investors, sell-side analysts, and gaming industry operators are expected to be valuable assets in these roles.

Santarelli's unique perspective, having observed GLPI's formation of the gaming triple-net-REIT structure from the capital markets side, is highly valued by the company. GLPI specializes in owning and leasing real estate to gaming operators under triple-net leases, where tenants handle facility maintenance, insurance, taxes, and utilities related to the properties.

With Santarelli's appointment, he will work closely with GLPI's senior management, including the Chairman and CEO, Peter Carlino, to further strengthen the company's position in the gaming industry. This transition from covering the gaming industry to being part of it is anticipated to bring fresh insights and contribute to GLPI's continued success.

GLPI, based in the United States, is a leading real estate investment trust (REIT) in the gaming industry. With Santarelli's expertise and connections, the company is poised to continue its growth and expansion.

Rege Behe, who is associated with GLPI's website, is not further mentioned in relation to Santarelli's appointment.
