Buses are being rerouted on Bierstadter Street
In the heart of Wiesbaden, several bus lines have been affected by ongoing construction and road closures. As of mid-August 2025, the following detour routes are in place for bus lines 37, 17, 23, 24, and N11.
The closure and detour on Patrickstraße, effective since August 8, has impacted these lines. For instance, line 23, traveling towards Breckenheim, detours after the "Poststraße" stop via Limesstraße, Am Wolfsfeld, Oberlinstraße, a replacement stop in Kloppenheimer Straße (Venatorstraße), and then re-joins the regular route on Igstadter Straße. Other lines similarly use alternate routing on Patrickstraße to avoid the affected section.
Line 37, among others, is also affected by the Gustav-Stresemann-Ring closure. From August 18, a new detour is in place: buses travel normally until “Hauptbahnhof A”, then continue via Gustav-Stresemann-Ring, turn onto Wittelsbacherstraße, follow a bypass to Wettinerstraße, and then return to Gustav-Stresemann-Ring onward to “Berliner Straße” stops.
For lines 17, 23, 24, and N11 in the direction of the city center, the detour remains via Kirchbachstraße, Aukammallee, and Fichtestraße. The nearest boarding and alighting possibilities for these lines are at the "Wartestraße", "Hildastraße", and "Alwinenstraße" stops.

Additional time should be allowed for trip planning due to the changes. An overview of all detour announcements is available on www.eswe-verkehr.de.

A transfer to line 37 in the direction of the main station is possible at the "Hans-Bredow-Straße" stop. After the "Hans-Bredow-Straße" stop, line 37 will travel via the Moltkering and return to its regular route. The stops "Plutoweg", "Wartestraße", "Fichtestraße", and "Hans-Bredow-Straße" will not be served by line 37 during construction work.
Trips in the direction of Bierstadt are not affected for lines 37, 17, 23, 24, and N11. The replacement stop "Hans-Bredow-Straße" will be served by line 37. Line 37 will take a detour via the Patrickstraße and the B455 to the "Berliner Straße" stop after the "Zieglerstraße" replacement stop.
We encourage passengers to plan their journeys accordingly and check the latest updates on the ESWE Verkehr website for precise routes and affected stops.
