A Bulgarian-registered company has been exposed as a letterbox operation at the residence of a convicted individual. The company's operator, under the Main Customs Office Landshut, was sentenced for withholding and misappropriating wages.

The convicted person, who operated a company under the Main Customs Office Landshut, was found guilty of withholding and misappropriating wages in 46 cases. They were sentenced to one year and eight months in prison.

Over a period of two years, the individual failed to register employees or pay social security contributions, amounting to over 125,500 euros.

Despite extensive searches, the name or contact information of a spokesperson for the Hauptzollstelle Landshut could not be found.

Customs Information Days will be held on September 20, 2025, at the service point Robert-Bosch-Straße 1 in Plattling. The convicted person's actions highlight the importance of such events for raising awareness about customs-related offenses and their consequences.
