Brunswick Launches BOMA+ Competition to Revitalize City Centre
Brunswick and Volksbank BRAWO eG have launched a BOMA+ competition to breathe new life into the city centre. The process, approved by municipal committees, kicked off in May with invitation documents sent out.
The competition, split into two phases, starts with urban planning in October 2025. This phase is set to wrap up by the end of the year. The second phase, focusing on architecture, will commence in the second quarter of 2026 and conclude with a final jury session.
While the first phase will lay the groundwork for future urban development, the second phase will bring concrete architectural designs for the area around the Galeria buildings. However, specific architectural firms for this phase have not yet been disclosed.
The BOMA+ competition aims to create a compelling architectural design that will guide future planning, traffic, and architectural development in Brunswick. The city and Volksbank BRAWO eG are committed to revitalizing the city centre through this innovative process.
