Warner Bros. Discovery and Skandha Media Services have announced a strategic partnership to distribute Warner Bros. Discovery's iconic channels in India, making them accessible to a broader audience via the country's leading on-demand video platforms.

Effective from June 15, 2023, Skandha Media Services will be responsible for the distribution of 19 channels, including Discovery and Cartoon Network, across India's largest OTT services. The collaboration aims to bring these prominent Warner Bros. Discovery channels to a wider Indian audience through digital streaming platforms.

Prashant Dhar, Director of Technical Operations, Distribution, and Broadcast at Warner Bros Discovery, expressed confidence in Skandha's ability to deliver their channels to diverse audiences. He cited Skandha's track record in serving top-tier brands and managing various broadcasters as a reason for this confidence.

Yogesh Salian, CEO and founder of Skandha Media Services, expressed honor at adding Warner Bros. Discovery to Skandha's growing client portfolio. He also stated that the partnership reinforces Skandha's reputation as a reliable partner in global media operations.

Skandha's Mumbai Media Capability Center (MCC) will be responsible for automated downlinking, transcoding, packaging, distribution, and monitoring of the channels. With over 12 years of experience in delivering solutions across the content life cycle, Skandha Media Services has executed more than 25,000 playout operations and streamed over 150,000 hours of content. To date, the company has accrued nearly 60 million views.
