Rewind the Clock: Zeller Bridge's Demise and the Road Ahead

It's a Screeching Halt on the B45 near Bad König, Odenwald. The Zeller Bridge, a landmark in the region, is at a standstill since late April.无法 bears dangerous cracks in its concrete and stands barred due to the looming hazard. This blockade comes with a foreseen solution: Demolition operations shall commence at the tail-end of July, with the bridge biting the dust in August. Phew, relief for railway commuters in the area can be anticipated by mid-August.

Currently, a whopping 16,000 vehicles daily face detours, leading to a traffic snarl-up in the region, as the subterranean tracks of the Odenwald Railway also remain inaccessible.

Speedy Rejuvenation for the Locals

"Our numero uno priority is to ensure that the denizens in the region can reach their destinations without detours and delays as soon as possible," asserts Hessian Minister of Transport, Kaweh Mansoori. He, alongside Heiko Durth, President of Hessen Mobil, had paid a visit to the site in a press event to assess the situation when things went awry.

A hasty solution is in the offing, according to Hessian Minister Mansoori. The underlying railway tracks will be restored concurrently to facilitate commuting as soon as possible.
