Bolt Boosts Green Fleet with Toyota Hybrids in Germany

Bolt, the European ride-hailing service, is set to enhance its fleet with Toyota hybrid vehicles. Germany is leading the way with a significant influx of these eco-friendly cars, with plans to expand this strategy across Europe.

Bolt Drive is revamping its German fleet, introducing Toyota hybrid models. The initial rollout includes the Toyota Yaris Cross Hybrid, with more Toyota hybrid models to follow. This move aims to decrease average fuel consumption by approximately 35% and significantly reduce CO2 emissions in daily operations.

Germany is pioneering this shift, marking the largest simultaneous introduction of Toyota vehicles for urban mobility. The expansion is set to continue pan-European, with Bolt expanding its partnership with Toyota across the continent. By October, 400 Toyota vehicles, comprising 350 Yaris and 50 Yaris Cross models, will join the Bolt Drive fleet. Toyota's extensive workshop network will also bolster fleet maintenance and repair, ensuring high vehicle availability for customers.

Bolt's integration of Toyota hybrid vehicles into its fleet is a significant step towards greener urban mobility. Germany is at the forefront of this change, with other European markets set to follow. This partnership promises improved fuel efficiency, lower emissions, and enhanced fleet reliability.
