Jan Niewodniczanski, the 60-year-old Technical and Environmental Director of the Bitburger Brewery Group, is stepping down from his management role. His departure, effective September 30, follows a nine-month sabbatical and differing views on the group's strategic direction.

Niewodniczanski will continue contributing his expertise, particularly in brewing, as an active shareholder of the Bitburger Group. He may take on roles in supervisory or advisory bodies in the future. Meanwhile, the other managing directors will temporarily oversee the department he led.

Speculation about his retirement had been circulating since he took his sabbatical at the beginning of the year. However, the search for his successor and the timeline for the change remain uncertain, as no official announcements have been made.
