**Adani Energy Solutions Q1 FY26 Results Show Strong Revenue Growth and Improving Profitability**

Adani Energy Solutions (AESL) has reported a robust performance for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2026 (Q1 FY26), with a 28% year-on-year (YoY) increase in total income to ₹7,026 crore. This growth was driven by stable operations, higher income from Service Concession Arrangements (SCA), Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC), as well as treasury income.

*Revenue by Segment*

The breakdown of revenue by segment reveals that the transmission business contributed significantly to the growth, with a major jump from ₹1,174 crore in Q1 FY25 to ₹3,372 crore in Q1 FY26, representing an impressive 187% growth. The distribution business saw a slight dip in revenue, with a decrease from ₹592 crore to ₹630 crore, marking a 6% growth. The 'Others' segment, which includes treasury, EPC, and other income, saw a 46% growth, with revenue increasing from ₹68 crore to ₹99 crore.

*Other Business Highlights*

AESL installed over 5.54 million smart meters in Q1 FY26, adding to a total portfolio of 22.8 million meters. The company also commissioned three new transmission lines and expanded its network by 79 circuit kilometers (ckms) during the quarter. In the Mumbai distribution business (AEML), units sold decreased by 1% YoY, but technical losses improved to 4.24% from 5.18% in Q1 FY25.

*Profit Margins*

AESL reported a net profit of ₹539 crore for Q1 FY26, up 71% YoY. This recovery comes after a loss in the same quarter last year and reflects improvements in operational efficiency and a significant reduction in net tax outgo. The net profit margin for Q1 FY26 is approximately 7.7%. The EBITDA margin stands at roughly 28.7%.

*Capital Expenditure*

Capital expenditure in Q1 FY26 rose sharply to ₹2,224 crore, almost 1.7 times higher than the ₹1,313 crore spent in Q1 FY25, reflecting aggressive project execution.

In summary, AESL’s Q1 FY26 results reflect strong revenue growth, improving profitability, and significant investment in future capacity, particularly in transmission and smart metering. The company's focus on expanding its network and smart meter rollouts, coupled with improvements in operational efficiency and a lower tax burden, bodes well for its future prospects.
