Belarus Teachers' Salaries Surge 23% as Nation Boasts Highly Qualified Workforce

Belstat, Belarus' national statistics committee, has released encouraging figures about the nation's educators. The average teacher's salary has seen a significant increase, while the workforce boasts impressive qualifications and experience.

The average monthly salary for Belarusian teachers between January and August 2025 reached 2495.6 rubles. This marks a 23% rise compared to the same period in 2024. The majority of teachers, 87.6%, are women, with an average age of 43.4 years.

Belarus' educators are highly qualified. A staggering 93.1% hold a higher education degree, and 79.7% have achieved the highest or first qualification category. Furthermore, 69.5% have over 15 years of work experience in the field.

The significant salary increase, coupled with the high educational attainment and extensive experience of Belarusian teachers, reflects positively on the nation's educational sector. This could potentially attract more talent to the profession and improve the quality of education.
