Belarus Boosts Precious Metal Purchase Prices for Individuals
The Ministry of Finance of Belarus has revised the purchase prices for precious metals from individuals. The new rates, effective October 24, 2024, apply only to jewelry and scrap, not standard ingots and coins.
Gold prices have seen significant increases. 958th purity gold is now 316.89 rubles, up from 279.85 rubles. Similarly, 950th purity gold has risen to 314.24 rubles from 277.51 rubles. Other purities have also seen substantial increases:
- 916th purity gold is now 302.99 rubles, up from 267.58 rubles.
- 900th purity gold is now 297.70 rubles, up from 262.91 rubles.
- 750th purity gold is now 248.09 rubles, up from 219.09 rubles.
- 583, 585th purity gold is now 193.51 rubles, up from 170.89 rubles.
- 500th purity gold is now 165.39 rubles, up from 146.06 rubles.
- 375th purity gold is now 124.04 rubles, up from 109.55 rubles.
The Belarusian Ministry of Finance has adjusted precious metal purchase prices for individuals. Effective October 24, 2024, private individuals will no longer be able to buy precious metals at official (central bank) prices. The new prices apply only to jewelry and scrap, with significant increases across various purities.
