BEDC Praises First Female CMD of UBTH, Prof. Idia Ize-Iyamu

Benin Electricity Distribution Company Plc (BEDC) has lauded the Federal Government's appointment of Prof. Idia Ize-Iyamu as the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH). This marks a historic moment as Ize-Iyamu becomes the first female to hold this position in Benin.

BEDC's Managing Director, Jonathan Lawani, a former Commissioner for Environment and Sustainability, praised President Bola Tinubu's choice. Lawani noted that Ize-Iyamu's success reaffirmed that gender was no barrier to excellence or commitment to public service in Benin.

Lawani also commended Ize-Iyamu's accomplishment, attributing it to her faith, resilience, and visionary leadership throughout her career in Benin.
