Bavarian Cooperative appoints Hamann as the new leader of the Politics and Economics Department
Christian-Friedrich Hamann Takes Over as Head of Politics and Economy Department at Genossenschaftsverband Bayern
Christian-Friedrich Hamann has been appointed as the new head of the Politics and Economy Department at Genossenschaftsverband Bayern (GVB), effective April 1, 2023. Hamann succeeds Simon Linder, who left the association at his own request at the end of March 2023.
Prior to joining GVB, Hamann worked as a specialist consultant and parliamentary advisor for budget and finance at the Bavarian FDP state parliament faction. He also served as a scientific employee of the chairman of the CDU/CSU faction in the finance committee.
Hamann's tenure at GVB began in a more limited capacity, working as a consultant in the board's office. It was not until January 2024 that he was appointed as the head of the Politics and Economy Department.
Hamann brings extensive expertise in the fields of finance and tax policy to his new role. He will report directly to the chairman of the board, Stefan Müller.
