Eurobahn Resumes Normal Service on RB 67, RB 89, and RE 3 Lines in Hamm
Eurobahn, a regional train service, has announced its return to a regular schedule following summer holidays. This decision affects lines RB 67, RB 89, and RE 3, with service resuming as follows:
- RB 67, nicknamed "The Warendorfer," will restart regular service on August 25th.
- RB 89, known as "The Ems-Börde-Bahn," will also return to its regular schedule on August 25th.
- RE 3, or "The Rhein-Emscher-Express," will resume normal operations in three phases:
- Phase 1: Beginning June 16th, Eurobahn will manage daytime trips, with TRI handling occasional trips. Evening trips will be suspended.
- Phase 2: Starting August 1st, Eurobahn will manage all daytime trips, while evening trips remain cancelled.
- Phase 3: On September 1st, the regular schedule, including evening trips, will be fully restored.
Other lines such as RE 82, RE 13, RB 65, and RB 66 will maintain their current schedules for now.
Eurobahn had earlier been forced to deviate from its normal schedule due to a shortage of skilled workers, as reported in April 2021. However, the company now confirms that there is enough staff to operate all lines normally.
