Baroness Michelle Mone Refuses to Resign Amid PPE Scandal Allegations

Baroness Michelle Mone has refused to resign from the House of Lords, despite calls from MPs and allegations surrounding her husband's company, PPE Medpro. The Baroness has accused senior government figures of interference and made serious allegations against the Prime Minister.

PPE Medpro was ordered to repay £122m after supplying 25 million surgical gowns that failed to meet sterility standards. The company was put into administration the day before this order, with assets of £666,000. Baroness Mone, whose husband owned PPE Medpro, has accused the Home Secretary and Chancellor of influencing investigations into the company's activities. She also alleges that the Prime Minister lied about her children receiving £29m from PPE contract profits.

Baroness Mone has written to the Prime Minister, advising critics to read her letter. She claims to have received threatening and abusive communications due to public vilification. Despite this, she has refused to step down from her position in the House of Lords, with her spokesman stating that she will not resign.

Baroness Mone's allegations are serious and have been met with calls for her resignation from MPs across the political spectrum. However, she has refused to step down, stating that she will not resign from the House of Lords. The Prime Minister's office has not yet responded to Baroness Mone's letter or her allegations.
