Banking institution, Republic Bank, reveals Christy Ames and Scott Nardi as the latest additions to its executive team.
Republic Bank Announces Executive Appointments
Republic Bank and Trust Company has announced the promotions of Christy Ames and Scott Nardi to executive roles within the company. Christy Ames has been appointed as Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, and General Counsel, while Scott Nardi has been named Senior Vice President, Chief Risk & Compliance Officer.
In her new role, Christy Ames is responsible for overseeing the bank’s legal affairs, compliance oversight, and serving as Corporate Secretary for Republic Bancorp, Inc. and Republic Bank and Trust Company. She also leads the Legal Department and oversees all legal matters for the bank and holding company. Ames has been with Republic Bank since 2018, serving as the general counsel.
Scott Nardi's responsibilities as Chief Risk & Compliance Officer include managing the bank’s risk management framework and regulatory compliance programs to ensure adherence to banking regulations and internal policies. Nardi's extensive experience in the financial services industry, serving as both in-house and outside counsel, is expected to be beneficial for Republic Bank.
Prior to joining Republic Bank, Nardi worked in SunTrust Bank's legal department in Richmond, Virginia, and at EverBank in Jacksonville, Florida, where he served as Chief Compliance Officer. Ames's background includes legal management, audit oversight, and leading the Learning and Development Department and the Compliance and Information Security Departments.

Nardi's promotion to Executive Vice President sees him leading Republic's Compliance, Risk, BSA, Fraud, and Security Departments. With over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Nardi's previous experience includes representing clients in legal matters at Skadden and Goodwin. Christy Ames has over 25 years of experience in the banking and finance sector.
