Atkore Inc. Announces Quarterly Cash Payment to Shareholders
In a recent announcement, Atkore Inc., a leading manufacturer of electrical products, has shared its financial performance for the third quarter of 2025. The company reported a decrease in net sales, gross profit, and gross margin, but has maintained a cautious optimism about its future.
For the quarter ended June 27, 2025, Atkore recorded net sales of $735 million, a 10.6% decrease from $822.4 million in the same period last year. This decline was primarily due to lower average selling prices, the effect of divestitures, and a 2% decrease in organic volume. Gross profit fell sharply by 38.5% to $172.1 million, pushing the gross margin down to 23.4% from 34.0% in the previous year.
The second quarter of 2025 saw an 11.5% drop in net sales to $701.7 million, with gross profit decreasing 36.5% to $185.1 million. The company reported a net loss of $50.1 million, worsened by a $127.7 million asset impairment and a $6.1 million loss on a business sale. The Electrical segment's Adjusted EBITDA fell 45.1% to $116.4 million, indicating operational challenges.
Despite these setbacks, Atkore affirmed its full-year 2025 guidance for Adjusted EBITDA between $375 million and $425 million and declared a quarterly dividend of $0.33 per share. Cash flow remains positive though diminished, with net operating cash flow of $160.9 million (down from $245.3 million in 2024) and free cash flow of $97.3 million, which currently covers dividend payments but signals some pressure on liquidity if trends persist.
The company's recent financial performance in fiscal 2025 shows a notable decline in sales and profitability. However, Atkore is striving for operational improvements and maintains its EBITDA and dividend targets. The upcoming leadership transition, with CEO Bill Waltz announcing his retirement, also marks a significant phase in the company’s corporate trajectory.
Atkore Inc. had approximately 5,600 employees and reported sales of $3.2B in fiscal year 2024. The company intends to make future announcements regarding company developments and financial performance through its website, press releases, SEC filings, conference calls, media broadcasts, and webcasts.
