Argentina's Pension System in Limbo as Milei Veto Looms, ANSES Boosts August Payments
Argentina's pension system remains in flux as President Javier Milei's veto of the Disability Emergency Law hangs in the balance. Meanwhile, ANSES has increased August payments by 1.62%, affecting both pensions and family allowances. The PNC for Old Age or Disability stands at $290,013.75, including the $70,000 bonus.
The maximum pension has reached $2,114,977.60, excluding the $70,000 bonus. Beneficiaries receiving more than $384,405.37 do not qualify for the extra bonus. The minimum pension, including the bonus, is $317,305.37. The PUAM has increased to $321,444.30 with the reinforcement bonus.
Payments will be made between August 22 and 28, following the DNI's last digit. The PNC remains at $290,013.75, including the $70,000 bonus, which is subject to change pending Congress's action or President Milei's veto.
Until the Senate makes a decision on President Milei's veto, the situation regarding ANSES bonuses for disability payments remains uncertain. Beneficiaries should stay informed about any updates to their payments.
