Applications Invited: List of the Top 50 Largest Law Firms in ALB, 2025

In the upcoming months, Asian Legal Business (ALB) will be compiling its annual Top 50 Largest Law Firms rankings for 2025. The rankings, scheduled for publication in the November 2025 issue, will feature two main tables identifying the 50 largest Asian law firms and the 50 largest international law firms by headcount in Asia.

Firms are being contacted between May and July 2025 to provide partner and lawyer numbers across their Asian offices. If a firm does not submit or respond to requests for numbers, figures will be obtained from the firm's website, an official Law Society resource, or last year's submission. However, the ALB cannot guarantee the accuracy of figures derived from external sources.

To participate, firms should complete and submit the submission form applicable to their jurisdiction to the designated contacts. Submission forms for the rankings are available on the ALB website. Eligible jurisdictions typically focus on Asia, so the rankings would likely include law firms operating in major Asian markets such as China, Japan, India, and Southeast Asia.

The submission process may involve online forms or email submissions, but the exact details should be checked directly with ALB's official channels or their website for the most accurate information. Both domestic and international firms are welcome to submit their data.

For China domestic firms, the submission deadline is July 16, 2025, while for all other jurisdictions, the deadline is August 29, 2025. To ensure a firm's representation in the rankings, provide accurate partner and lawyer numbers based exclusively on Asian offices.

Firms must have a significant presence in Asian legal markets, including China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. For submissions related to China, international firms, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan, send them to Bingqing Wang ([email protected]). For submissions related to India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, send them to Rowena Muniz ([email protected]).

Submissions for China domestic firms should be sent to [email protected]. The ALB Top 50 Largest Law Firms 2025 rankings will provide valuable insights into the size and strength of law firms in the Asian market. If you are interested in participating, contact Asian Legal Business directly for specific guidelines and deadlines.
